WARNING! Men at Work! That warning was meant for your funny-bone, because August 28th we present three delightful films where our Boys work hard to bring us laughter! First we see a house (almost) built in the riotous 1928 silent short THE FINISHING TOUCH with live musical accompaniment by Russ Peck at the Williams Hall piano!! This wonderful film co-stars a Saps favorite, Edgar Kennedy, as a flustered cop. We will also screen BUSY BODIES, a 1933 two reeler. Stan & Babe work (?!) in a Sawmill! You just have to wonder who was in charge of the hiring in that place! They also hired Charlie Hall, who has a classic run-in with the Boys. We will also show one of the most requested of all of their films, THE MUSIC BOX. The Laurel & Hardy Transfer Co. has a simple task: deliver a Piano up the gosh-darn longest flight of stairs you ever saw! Billy Gilbert joins the fun in this hilarious, classic film, which won the Academy Award as best short subject of 1932, and boy did it deserve it. Our guest comedian is Sir Charles Chaplin in PAY DAY. A rarely screened gem with Charlie trying to make a living so that he can hand his paycheck to his HORRIBLE Wife! King Kong has nothing on this woman! Add another terrific CartOOn, Keeley Treats (Love those two!) and maybe a few surprises to make this another Saps show not to miss!
